The MTMN - Minnesota Touch Movement Network (formerly known as the Minnesota Therapeutic Massage Network) was formed in 1981 by massage therapists seeking networking support and means of exploring educational options, the MTMN is the oldest organization of its type in the state. Comprised of practitioners with a wide variety of modality training, the network is clearly not limited to massage therapists. The members are trained or certified and often are instructors in one or more of the practices of: Ortho-Bionomy®, Reflexology, Jin Shin Jyutsu®, Reiki, Jin Shin Do, Rosen Method, Trigger Point Therapy, Esalen, Shiatsu, NLP-NeuroLinguistic Programming®, EMK-Electro Magnetic Kinesiology, Lomi Lomi, Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Orthopedic Massage, Feldenkrais Method®, PNF- Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, Connective Tissue Therapy and MORE.

The purpose of the MTMN is to support and protect the practice of massage and touch movement therapy.
What is the structure of the MTMN ?
Bylaws and standing rules administered by officers elected by the membership that governs the MTMN.
What is unique about the MTMN ?
The MTMN is a grassroots organization. The focus of networking, or exchange of information is vital to its existence.
The MTMN places members' ethics above the amount or style of training.
Because the MTMN is a statewide organization, it has more flexibility than groups which are national in scope, thus changes can be made more easily, and it is adaptable to the individual needs of its membership.
